Hutu rebels are reported to have launched an attack on a village in Burundi's northwest Kayanza province. Nearly a dozen government buildings in Gatara were looted & burned according to state radio reports. It said the rebels attacked the village on Saturday the day before Burundi's Hutu prime minister Pascal Firmin Ndimira visited the region. The report gave no casualty figures or further details.

The Iraqi army says five people were killed & 19 wounded in the US missile attacks on the country. It says cruise missiles hit both civilian & military targets.
