Nick Jones on Labour denying reports

that it is to cut trades union links: Mr Monks said he thought Labour politicians should have been more careful. Most delegates think they have been used in Labour union bashing. The party's tactic all week has been to reassure voters that a Blair government will not be held to ransom by unions. Legislation to curb strikes is not being ruled out nor is the ultimate sanction of breaking the union link.
