GOVERNMENT FACING EURO COURT OVER ABUSE

The Official Solicitor has confirmed he is taking the Government to the European Court of Human Rights over the case of five abused children. British law means the five cannot take action against their local council for failing to prevent the abuse. Victory in Stasbourg could force the Government to change the law. The job of the Official Solicitor is to uphold the rights of those unable to manage their own affairs.
